10/5: They played a more evenly matched game in the second half, but the final score ended up North Haven 26-0.

9/07: The Youth A team traveled to North Haven and fought a tough battle, but lost 31-13.

9/14: North Haven's Junior A team got out to a quick 18-8 start, and North Branford's Junior A team fought back, but just could not catch up, losing 18-16.

11/18: This play ended with an interception, but it showed how diverse the offense will be in 2008.

Week 13

11/18:The North Haven Indians stonewalled North Branford's first series and forced them to punt. North Haven scored TDs on their first two possessions to take a 14-0 first quarter lead. The Thunderbirds were able to mount several drives but they all ended in punts, or a turn over on downs. North Haven scored a third quarter touchdown and built a 22-0 lead before the Thunderbirds could finally got going.

11/18: At the start of the 4th quarter, NB put together a 7 play, 65 yard drive to finally get on the board. Corey Onofrio completed 4 big passes to Ryan Murphy and Tim Boyle for most of the yardage and Murphy culminated the drive with a 5 yard TD run. Murphy's 2 point kick cut the score to 22-8. After an Indians' punt, the TBirds worked another long drive into the North Haven red zone.

11/18: The drive ended when Corey Onofrio had a pass intercepted. North Haven took the ball and scored a 4th TD to expand their lead to 28-8. In the process, the Indians ate up all but 54 seconds of the final period. Determined to make a game of it, the TBirds scored with 29 seconds left on a 54 yard pass from Onofrio to Murphy to close the score at 28-14.

Week 9

The Junior A Thunderbirds defense dominated the North Haven A Juniors - allowing only a couple of first downs and forcing several turnovers.

Size was clearly a factor, as the huge front line of the Thunderbirds could not be penetrated by the Indians ball carriers.

North Branford scored 4 TDs in the first quarter and built a 30-0 lead before crusing to a 36-0 win. (267 photos)

Week 5

The Senior Thunderbirds scored first in the opening quarter.

This 2 point conversion gave the T-birds an 8-0 lead. Cheshire scored a touchdown of their own shortly after on a pass over the middle and a long run, but the extra point kick was blocked.

North Branford still held their 8-6 lead through 3 quarters, but they turned the ball over deep in their own territory to start the 4th quarter and Cheshire went on to win 14-8. (280 photos)

Week 4

The Youth A Thunderbirds ran wild for six touchdowns en route to a 38-20 victory over North Haven A.

They scored in every quarter, improving their record to 3-0. 185 photos

Week 2

The Youth B Thunderbirds fought hard all game and came back in the fourth quarter of this game to earn a 6-6 tie with North Haven B.

North Haven B stopped this extra point try for the go ahead score, and this game ended in a stalemate.
